The Model 70 since 1936 it's been the benchmark against which every other bolt-action rifle is measured. It still has the famous 3-position safety which is convenient to operate with the thumb of your firing hand, lifting the firing pin away from the sear. The forged steel receiver starts from a solid block of steel. The bottom profile of this receiver is flat to offer greater surface area for bedding. It is bedded with a two-part epoxy in two places, at the front and rear to keep things from shifting around inside the stock during firing. The classic Controlled Round Feed (CRF) bolt design is a massive claw extractor that smoothly slips onto and secures about one-quarter of the base of the cartridge. This exerts full control over the cartridge from the time it leaves the magazine, as it enters the chamber, gripping tightly until the cartridge is fully ejected. This design also allows an unfired cartridge to be extracted even if it is not yet fully chambered. The M.O.A. Trigger System is the most precise three-lever trigger system in the world and an improved fit and finish and enhanced accuracy to go along with its classic Pre-'64 controlled round feeding. A blade-type ejector gives you full control when ejecting a fired case. Its free-floating barrel is button rifled in a process that assures superior accuracy and durability.

Due to shipping regulations, all ammunition ordered through our website must be signed for upon delivery by an adult 21 years of age or older. If you wish to order ammunition via our website and choose the in store pick up option, you may pick up your order at either one of our locations. Federal ammunition laws apply on pick up. You must be 21 years of age to purchase handgun ammunition or at least 18 for rifle/shotgun ammunition. To choose this option, click on the in store pick up tab. Age will be verified upon pick up.
Magazines and miscellaneous items can be shipped directly to your home. Both the stores and the warehouse will choose the carrier that best suits prompt delivery.
All firearms must be sent to a Federally Licensed Firearms dealer. There are zero exceptions. It is your responsibility to secure a FFL dealer in your area that will receive your firearm. You must submit a valid copy of that FFL to us by email or fax.
Illinois residents must provide a copy of their FOID card prior to any ammunition/fireman purchase.
IMPORTANT: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING YOUR STATE LAWS. If you live in a heavily regulated state you may only purchase merchandise legally owned in your state. If we discover that you have purchased an illegal item based on your state regulations there will be penalties. We will charge a 15% fee for restocking, prepackaging and credit card fees based on the purchase price.
